The story "Parks Dinarides" started in 2012 when WWF had started the project which two years afterwards led to the establishment of network of protected areas of Dinarides. One of the tasks of the project was creation of a brand for the Parks of Dinarides, which is accompanied by a promotional video, based on the slogan "Undiscovered world". The video was made by the Croatian creative agency Leo Burnett.
In 2014 the WWF, in collaboration with the creative agency Leo Burnett made a campaign "Every piece of nature has its story", by which they wanted to highlight the natural resources of the region, with an emphasis on personal experiences in the protected areas.
The idea was to make through the regional campaign a connection of people with the nature in the sense of awakening pride in the natural beauty of their homeland. Within the campaign four TV and radio spots were recorded, which represent one park from each of the four countries of the Dinaric Arc (Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro).
Each park has a different story: in NP Lonjsko polje in Croatia the emphasis is on bird watching, in the NP Una in B&H the accent is on love story legend, in the SNR Gornje Podunavlje in Serbia it is about European Amazon and the vanished city Bodrog, while in the Montenegrin NP Biogradska gora fishing and ideal environment for family are underlined. That is how beauty of the nature and pride of the population are connecting.
Creative agency Leo Burnett from Croatian recorded a video by which it wanted to explain the other agencies and other stakeholders why it is working with the WWF and why it supports Parks Dinarides. Emphasis is placed on the efforts of the WWF to link protected areas in the region in the formalized network that will facilitate parks to apply together for the projects, and on the other side to become a desirable tourist destination. Accordingly, the video shows the efforts of the WWF to put the protection of nature higher on the political agenda through dialogue with decision-makers from across the region.
