In cooperation with the Parks Dinarides and WWF Adria an Assessment of local communities’ involvement in the management of protected areas of Dinaric countries was organised in the Tivoli, Rožnik and Šiška Hill Landscape Park. The Community involvement assessment was organised as a follow up activity of the Grant programme for protected areas of Parks Dinarides.
Eleven representatives from the local community bodies, municipal administration, landowners and other important stakeholders gathered to discuss the past and potential future involvement of the local communities in the management of the protected area.
The meeting was held in pleasant and friendly atmosphere where everyone had an opportunity to participate in discussion and share their vision of the further management of the protected area. Additionally, the interview with the Landscape Park Management unit of Public company VODOVOD KANALIZACIJA SNAGA was carried out a couple of days before.
The representatives of WWF Adria, Leon Kebe and Neža Prosnjak, have facilitated both meetings.
